Shelly 2L Gen3

Overview

Shelly 2L Gen3 is a two-channel smart lighting controller designed for retrofit situations, including many installations where no neutral conductor is available at the wall switch. It can independently control two lighting circuits while preserving operation from the existing wall controls.

The device connects directly to Wi-Fi, so everyday app, schedule and automation functions do not require a separate hub. Bluetooth assists commissioning and can also support nearby Shelly BLU devices. The Gen3 platform adds local scripting, webhooks and broad integration options for more advanced projects.

Compatibility Notes

Very low-power lighting loads may require a Shelly Bypass. Confirm the connected lamps are dimmer or electronic-switch compatible and fall within the supported load range.
